Our food is all made fresh to order, using only the highest quality ingredients. Specialist ingredients are imported from Japan and fresh produce is sourced from the very best local suppliers. We have an extensive wine and sake list that has been specifically matched to compliment our menu. We showcase Japanese beers, whisky and vodka and offer an exciting and ever changing range of Japanese inspired cocktails. We also offer a completely bespoke Private Dining service, customised to make your event special. It’s the finer details like these that we believe sets us apart, and makes your Nippon Kitchen experience the best it can be.

Drink

We have a specifically designed wine list from the highly regarded Inverarity Morton, with wines expertly chosen to match our food. We're passionate about sake and in addition to our delicious house sake, we also have a range of premium sakes from Honjozo-Shu and Gingo-Shu to Nigori unfiltered and Junmai sparkling. We have a well thought out Japanese-inspired cocktail list, with a range of delicious incarnations of classic as well as new and unique flavour combinations. As well as a diverse range of alcoholic beverages we also serve a range of teas including Japanese green tea, Gen-Mai Cha and Jasmine amongst others.

Private Dining

Upstairs in Nippon Kitchen, away from the main restaurant, we have a beautiful corner dining room with stunning views over Nelson Mandela Place and the hustle and bustle of West George and West Nile Street. With its cool and contemporary decor and specially commissioned art work, this room provides the perfect backdrop for entertaining clients with a unique and bespoke menu, or simply to enjoy a private meal with up to 16 friends. For bigger parties, our large private dining room can comfortably accommodate 36 people for a sit down meal. The rooms are completely bespoke and can be hired for any type of event. We are completely flexible and encourage people to get in touch with thoughts and ideas, and we will do our best to fulfil them. We have hosted a range of private events from sushi making demonstrations to birthday parties and business lunches.
