About Us NipponKitchen import all of our kitchen knives direct from Japan, where our family business has been selling chef’s and kitchen knives for four generations. We know our knives, and are always happy to talk about them, so if you have any questions, please ask!

All calls are charged at standard rate. Our normal customer service hours are from 9.30am to 5.30pm GMT, Monday to Friday, but feel free to call us at any time and leave a message, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Making A Purchase We have tried to make buying online as straightforward as possible. Click on the 'Enter Our Shop' button to view our online catalogue. You can then browse our product ranges, and click on the 'Add To Cart' button for any items that you wish to buy. At any time you can view, modify or delete the contents of your shopping cart by clicking on the 'View Cart' button at the left of the page. After you have finished your selection, click on the 'Checkout' button to enter delivery details before being transferred to our secure server where you can enter your credit card information in the confidence that is is fully encrypted. You can cancel the checkout process at any time.

We accept Visa, Delta, Mastercard and Switch. We will not debit your card until your order is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped.

If you are shopping from outside the UK (we currently accept orders from the US, Canada, Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand), place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.

If you do not wish to use our on-line ordering facility, then just call us on 020 8881-1719. We'll be happy to accept your order by phone, or to send you a brochure and order form.

Please note that we will not sell knives to anyone under the age of 16.

Shipping And Handling UK orders are shipped by first class recorded delivery. There is a charge of £3.95 per order for postage and packaging for UK orders.

Outside the UK, we currently ship to Western Europe, the US and Canada, and Australia and New Zealand. Delivery is by airmail, international recorded delivery. Delivery charges are:

Western Europe - £7.25 per order

US and Canada - £8.75 per order

Australia and New Zealand - £9.40 per order

Delivery Schedule Provided product is in stock, orders will normally be despatched within 2 business days of receipt.
Back Orders All of our products are normally available from stock. However, if any item on your order is out of stock, we will email you to let you know. You will then have the choice of cancelling that item or back ordering it. Back orders may take up to 28 days before shipment. We will always contact you by email before back ordering product.
Credit Card Security All credit card numbers are encrypted on our secure SSL server (you will see the padlock symbol at the bottom of your browser when you are entering credit card information).   They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Your Right to Cancel We offer a no-quibble 14-day guarantee on everything we sell. If, for any reason, you change your mind about a purchase from us, please contact us within 14 days of receiving the product to let us know that you wish to return it. We will refund you the purchase price and our delivery charge within 30 days. You must return your purchase complete and undamaged in its original packaging. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Faulty or Damaged Product If any product you buy from us is faulty or has been damaged during shipment we will arrange, at your discretion, either a full refund or a replacement at our expense as long as you contact us within a reasonable time of receiving the goods. Again, this does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

We will get back to you as quickly as possible, but in any case we are committed to responding to any complaint within five working days.

Privacy Policy we at NipponKitchen are fully committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1998.

We will only collect information about you in order to process orders, to improve your shopping experience at our website, and to help us understand how you found our site. This is the information you give us when you place an order.

We will not disclose, sell or rent customer information to third parties.

We will not send you unsolicited marketing information.
